Building and Sharing
I want to thank David and Glenn Taylor-Smith from Martial Arts Development for hosting my seminar in NSW Australia. I also want to welcome Glenn and David to the Team Quest family as our newest affiliate.
I have enjoyed my time here teaching, seeing the sights, and most of all making new friends. The last time I was in Australia was when I competed in the Olympic games. That time I was a little to focused on me, and what I was here for. I really didn’t get to enjoy myself outside of the competition. This trip has been great, I got to bring my daughter Robin with me as her graduation trip and share the experience with her.
I got the opportunity to teach martial arts and share my knowledge and experience. I love what I do, getting to talk, share and inspire others and build relationships with like minded individuals. One of my passions is martial arts and wrestling the other is sharing and contributing to others.
I think deep down we all have a desire for giving and sharing what we are passionate about. I am blessed to been given these opportunities. We all want to know that we have given ourselves and played a role in shaping the world around us. When we feel as though we are contributing to others it gives us a sense of meaning and purpose.
I have had some great coaches and mentor through out my life that has shared and contributed to my success. I wouldn’t be who I am if it were not for them in my life.
I want to encourage others to do the same. When you get the opportunities, share your gifts, talents and abilities with others not only do you get to contribute to others, but you also get the reward and satisfaction of being able to give.
‘Coach Matt’s seminar was by far one of the best seminars I have attended. His seminar wasnt full of ‘tricks’ and fancy techniques that are hard to use or remember, it was full of principles and techniques that are easy to remember and more importantly effective! We definitely will be trying to get him back again for another seminar at our gym’
