Team Quest has done it once again. This past weekend a new world champion was born. This time from the other side of the world. 23 years in the making. At the age of 29, Hong Thong Lek Chor Farpleansee has been training since the age of 6 with the dream of one day winning the Thailand championship belt at Lumpinee stadium.
Hong Thong Lek, fighting out of Team Quest MMA Thailand in Chiang Mai, Thailand has done the unthinkable. After retiring at the age of 22, he decided to give his career one more shot and came back in late 2010 with sub par results. It wasn’t until Team Quest MMA Thailand helped provide Hong Thong Lek with the perfect enviornment for training that he was able put together the best win streak of his career.
Hong Thong Lek was able to win 7 straight decisively against the top competition in the world including his fight to win the Thailand championship belt at Lumpinee stadium. A new power house is emerging out of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
