This coming weekend on October, 12th is a huge fight night for Chiang Mai Muay Thai. The Chiang Mai Muay Thai scene has been growing the last several years with the additions of some new professional Muay Thai gyms in the area. These gyms have done a great job of attracting foreign Muay Thai fighters and students to help support the local Muay Thai economy. This in return has helped bring in a lot of money to some of the local camps which helps them stay in business, ultimately helping the Thai fighters directly.
Team Quest Thailand is looking forward to really helping to continue the growth of Chiang Mai Muay Thai. We have had a steady stream of foreign and local talent that is competing at a lot of the local shows. Particularly Kalare stadium in Chiang Mai.
Team Quest Thailand will be represented by 3 students at Kalare stadium in Chiang Mai, Thailand on the 12th. Its going to be a fun filled night of action.
CHIANG MAI MUAY THAI FIGHTERS
The first student is Ian Lioubachevskii from Brisbane, Australia. Ian will be competing in his first Muay Thai fight.
The second student is Yvonne “KIWI” Team Quest Thailand who will be competing in her second fight for Team Quest Thailand. Yvonne took a fight on one week’s notice with her first fight for Team Quest Thailand and lost a tough decision. This time she has trained harder and she feels ready.
Last but not least, Adrien “Kaew” Team Quest Thailand will be fighting a very tough opponent. Although Adrien is participating in the “Gai thort haa dow” tournament and just was entered into the “Toyota Muay Thai Marathon” where he will be fighting on November, 1st, he doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines. Adrien will be fighting a tough opponent in “Rambo” also known as Fah Soht Sai Chiang Mai pa who yoot. Some of you might recognize the name of the gym he is representing. Jamie “The Official” Stamp just fought against another one of there fighters and had an amazing comeback victory. If you missed Jamie’s fight you can view it fight here. Looks like we might start a northner Thailand rivalry.
